Transition pathways for urban provisioning systems toward 15-minutes cities (T-PATH-UP15), funded by the Driving Urban Transitions (UKRI), role: PI — I coordinate the project and manage a postdoctoral researcher. Together with Tom Haynes-Doran and Andrew Brown (University of Leeds), I co-lead the development a participatory System-of-Provision framework for analysing youth mobility across regions. I also share responsibility with Paul Chatterton (University of Leeds) and Margaret Haderer (TU Wien) for synthesising findings and high-impact policy recommendations.
Transformative adaptation of labour: a system-of-provision approach to heat stress in care and construction sectors (TRANSFORM-LABOR), funded by the Austrian Climate Research Program, role: PI — I manage a postgraduate researcher and lead the development of a System-of-Provision framework for transformative adaptation. This framework addresses the political-economic, socio-cultural, and institutional root causes of workers' vulnerabilities, guiding and evolving through empirical analysis.
Exploring the socio-ecological potentials of essential provisioning systems in OECD nations, funded through White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership Collaborative Awards, role: principal academic supervisor — This project funds a full-time PhD position. I co-developed it with Milena Büchs and Diana Ivanova (University of Leeds), in collaboration with Anna Coote (New Economics Foundation), and serve as principal academic supervisor. The project compares the mitigation potential of collective provisioning systems with market-driven models across essential sectors in OECD countries, and identifies governance principles to enhance need satisfaction within planetary boundaries.
Transforming essential provisioning systems through eco-social corridors (HABITATION-CORRIDORS), funded by the Austrian Climate Research Program, role: PI — I coordinate the project and, in collaboration with Melanie Pichler (BOKU Vienna), co-manage a research assistant and co-lead a work package examining the structures, institutions, actors, and power relations shaping the contested transformation of housing and mobility in Austria.
Quantifying qualitative transformation pathways towards climate-friendly living (Q2-PATHWAYS), funded by Austrian Climate Research Program, role: Co-I — I was primarily involved in the proposal phase, in reviewing the project's outcomes, and in contributing to related debates within the Austrian Panel on Climate Change AAR2 report (Chapter 8: Transformation Pathways).
Transformative realism for effective climate action (TRANSREAL), funded by Austrian Climate Research Program, role: Co-I — I was involved in the proposal phased and, in collaboration with Andreas Novy and Nathan Barlow (Vienna University of Economics and Business), my main role in the project was to conceptualise transformative climate actions through an iterative process informed by critical social science literature and co-produced insights from rural knowledge alliances in Austria.
Modes of living and the infrastructures of everyday life, funded by City of Vienna Jubilee Fund, role: PI — I coordinated and conducted the research project, supported by a research assistant under my supervision.
Fostering multilateral knowledge networks of transdisciplinary studies to tackle global challenges (KNOTS), funded by ERASMUS+ Capacity Building in Higher Education, role: Research Assistant & Project Administration — In this project, I was responsible for project administration and worked as research assistant. My tasks included project documentation, event organisation, literature reviews, coordinating the development of a manual on transdisciplinary research and teaching, as well as teaching and mentoring international students during summer school field trips in Vietnam and Thailand.
